At Studio McKenna, each candle is thoughtfully crafted as both a fragrance experience and a sculptural work of art. Our Australian-made cotton wicks are individually chosen and tested to complement our custom soy wax blend, ensuring a long-lasting, even burn and a clean, refined scent throw.

Because every candle is hand-poured and uniquely shaped, each will burn in its own beautiful way - forming distinctive textures and patterns that are part of its natural charm.

First Burn

To ensure your candle burns evenly from the start, follow these simple steps:

Prepare your space:
Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface such as a dish or candle plate to collect any wax that may drip - particularly for our sculptural designs.
Light with intention:
Burn your candle for at least one hour, or until a full melt pool forms across the top. This helps prevent tunnelling and encourages an even burn.
Stay present:
Always keep your candle within sight while burning, and extinguish before leaving the room or going to bed.

To enjoy the best performance from your Studio McKenna candle:

Trim the wick to around 1cm before each burn to maintain a clean, smoke-free flame.
Avoid drafts and keep your candle away from direct sunlight or heat sources when not in use.
Limit burn time to no more than three hours per session to extend its lifespan.
Dust lightly with a soft brush or cloth if the candle surface becomes marked or dusty.

Candle Safety

Luxury candles are designed to be enjoyed safely. Always remember:

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Position candles away from flammable materials, curtains, and plants.
Allow the wax to cool and solidify fully before moving your candle.
